Boil Water Notice Lifted in Ballymoney– All Areas

17 November 2011 14:13

NI Water and the Public Health Agency have lifted the boil notice for the remaining customers in the Finvoy area. This means that the water supply in this area and all areas in Ballymoney can now be used without boiling. Customers will receive a hand delivered notice to advise them their water can be used in the normal way.

Dymphna Gallagher, Head of Quality and Compliance at NI Water comments:

“Following extensive work on the ground by our staff, we are now in a position to lift the boil notice for all remaining customers. We would like to take this opportunity to apologise to all our customers for the inconvenience caused and thank them for their patience.

“As with all incidents of this nature, public health was our main priority.

“We would like to thank the people of Ballymoney for their support and patience during this incident. The assistance of local political representatives and other agencies in helping us keep the public informed was also greatly appreciated.”
