Storm Sewer for New Housing Development in Annaclone gets Underway

08 May 2018 12:20

NI Water will shortly commence work on a storm sewer extension on the Monteith Road in Annaclone.

The proposed construction work will involve the installation of a storm sewer, associated manholes to serve a new housing development, and will commence on Monday 14th May 2018 for approximately two weeks.

In order to carry out the works safely it will be necessary to have a temporary lane closure in place, two-way traffic will be maintained with the use of temporary traffic lights, and appropriate signage will be in place. Vehicular access will be maintained for the residents where possible and pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Normal working hours will be 9.30am to 4.00pm Monday to Friday; however, it may be necessary at times for work to be carried out outside of these hours.

Please be aware that construction sites are dangerous areas for unauthorised persons, especially children, NI Water would appreciate co-operation from the public in ensuring that children do not play in or around the site or machinery. Working areas will have warning signs and traffic control in place to protect the public from any hazards. The public are advised to stay out of these working areas for their own safety.

On behalf of NI Water and our contractor Quinn Automatic Ltd, we would like to apologies for any disruption the work may cause, everything will be done to keep it to a minimum and ensure the work is completed as soon as practicably possible. NI Water would like to thank the public in advance for their patience and cooperation while we complete this essential work.
