Annagher Wastewater Pumping Station & Sewerage Improvement Scheme Continues

11 November 2013 16:47

NI Water is currently upgrading the sewerage infrastructure in the Annagher area of Coalisland.  Work involves constructing a new Pumping Station at Annagher, which will improve the sewerage network, reduce the risk of out of sewer flooding and accommodate future development in the Coalisland area. The project will also involve the installation of new gravity sewers and a pumping main to Coalisland Wastewater Treatment Works.

As part of this process, we wish to advise customers that pipelaying  is currently ongoing on the Washingbay Road. In order to ensure the safety of the travelling public and our contractors, it is necessary to extend the existing road closure from 8 November to 6 December 2013. Washingbay Road will now be closed until 6 December 2013 to facilitate the installation of a gravity sewer. Local traffic will be accommodated and signs will continue to be in place to advise drivers of the restrictions.

The works may cause some disruption to the local community, but we aim to minimise vehicular and pedestrian traffic disruption as much as possible. NI Water and our contractor BSG Civil Engineering would like to thank the public for their patience and cooperation while we complete these essential sewerage infrastructure improvements for the area.

NI Water will continue to liaise closely with both DRD Roads Service and Dungannon & South Tyrone Borough Council during the construction.

Customer queries regarding this work should be directed to Waterline on 08457 440088.
