Sewer Improvement Scheme - Park Road & Ravenhill Road, Belfast

NI Water would like to advise the public that we will shortly commence a programme of essential sewer improvement work, affecting the Ravenhill Road and Park Road area.This programme of work will improve the existing infrastructure in the area and reduce the risk of flooding.
A public information event will be held in Cooke Centenary Presbyterian Church Hall, 216 Ormeau Road between 3pm and 7pm on Monday 2 June in order to provide further details of this work to the local community and their representatives.
This essential programme of sewer improvement work involves the following:
- Investigative trial excavations will take place on the Ravenhill Road and Park Road between 9.30am and 3.30pm between Thursday 5th and Wednesday 11th June. Both the Ravenhill Road and Park Road will remain open in both directions, with single lane traffic controlled by temporary traffic signals.
- Sewer Improvement Work in Park Road – Park Road will be closed at the junction with the Ravenhill Road. We anticipate that this closure will be in place from Thursday 12th June until the middle of September. Diversionary routes will be signposted.
- Excavation work on the Ravenhill Road (opposite Toronto Street) We anticipate that this work will commence on Saturday 28th June and will last approximately two days.
- Ravenhill Road (between Broughton Park and North Parade) We anticipate that this work will commence on Monday 30th June and will be completed by Saturday 30th August. The Ravenhill Road will remain open in both directions with single lane traffic controlled by temporary traffic signals.
NI Water and our contractor Graham Construction will continue to liaise closely with Roads Service and would like to thank the public in advance for their patience while we complete this essential work.
