Temporary Road Closure on Eglantine Road, Lisburn from 9th June for 6 Weeks

03 June 2014 11:26

NI Water is currently carrying out pipelaying works on the Eglantine Road, Lisburn as part of its £14m Castor Bay to Belfast Water Trunk Main Scheme – an extensive project which will safeguard water quality and improve the security of supply for our customers.

As part of this process, we wish to inform the public that Eglantine Road, Lisburn will be closed to through traffic from Monday 9th June for approximately 6 weeks. This is to ensure pipelaying is carried out in the safest possible manner.

NI Water and its contractor Lagan Construction will strive to minimise any disruption associated with the work, however, residents may experience some vehicular restrictions as the pipelaying work passes the front of their property. Site personnel will facilitate pedestrian access for residents directly affected by the works.

We would like to take this opportunity to remind the public that construction sites are a dangerous area for children and young people and we would appreciate the co-operation of the community in ensuring that children do not play in or around the works or machinery.

NI Water and our contractor Lagan Construction would like to thank residents for their patience and co-operation while we work to improve the water supply infrastructure serving their area.

If you have any special needs or requirements that you wish to make us aware of, please contact Waterline on 08457 440088 and quote “Lagan Construction, Castor Bay to Belfast Water Trunk Main”.
