Temporary Road Closure for Cranmore Park, Lisburn

05 June 2014 15:43

NI Water is about to commence a programme of essential sewer improvement work in the Lisburn Road area. The new sewer connection will run from Cranmore Park to the grounds of Drumglass Park. This essential scheme will improve the sewerage infrastructure in the area and help reduce the risk of out of sewer flooding. The work will also allow a planned Belfast City Council Environmental Improvement Scheme to proceed within Drumglass Park.

As part of this programme of work, we wish to inform the public that Cranmore Park will be closed to through traffic from Monday 9th June for approximately 4 weeks. This is to ensure pipelaying is carried out in the safest possible manner. A diversion sign will be in place, utilising Randal Park and Cranmore Gardens.

We would like to take this opportunity to remind the public that construction sites are a dangerous area for children and young people, and we would appreciate the co-operation of the community in ensuring that they do not play in or around the works or machinery.

NI Water and its contractor Deane Public Works will do everything we can to minimise any disruption associated with the work. We would also like to thank the public for their patience and co-operation while we work to improve the sewerage infrastructure in the area.

If you have any special needs or requirements that you wish to make us aware of, please contact Waterline on 08457 440088 and quote “Deane Public Works, Lisburn Road Sewer Improvement Work”.
