Sewer Improvement Work to Begin in Ballygally, Larne

12 June 2014 16:40

NI Water will be carrying out essential improvements to the sewerage infrastructure in the Ballygally area for approximately 18 weeks.  This work commences on the Cairncastle Road on the 30 June 2014, before moving to the Coast Road in September 2014.  The purpose of this work is to upgrade the sewers to improve the integrity and capacity of the existing infrastructure and reduce the risk of out of sewer flooding.

As with all work of this nature, there will be an element of disruption and traffic management will be in place.  Short lane closures will be implemented for the work on the Cairncastle Road and a road closure will be required on the Coast Road. Signage will be in place and any diversions will be advertised as necessary.

An open information event will be held in the Ballygally Hall, 264 Coast Road, Ballygally BT40 2QX on Thursday 19 June 2014 between 3.30pm and 6.30pm. Everyone is welcome to call in at any stage throughout the afternoon to find out more about the overall scheme.

NI Water would like to thank the public in advance for their patience and cooperation, and assure them that we will do everything we can to complete the work as quickly as possible.

We would like to take this opportunity to remind the public that construction sites are a dangerous area children and young people, and we would appreciate the co-operation of the community in ensuring that children do not play in or around the works or machinery.

Customer queries regarding this work should be directed to Waterline on 08457 440088.
