Essential Sewer Improvement Work Recommences in Ballygally, Larne

17 September 2014 12:17

NI Water’s ongoing programme of essential improvements to the sewerage infrastructure in the Ballygally area will be recommencing on the Coast Road on 22 September 2014 for approximately 10 weeks.  The purpose of this work is to upgrade the sewers in order to improve the integrity and capacity of the existing infrastructure and reduce the risk of out of sewer flooding.

As with all work of this nature, there will be an element of disruption and traffic management will be in place.  A road closure will be in place at Ballygally Slipway on the Coast Road and the diversion route between Drains Bay and Ballygally will be via Trench Road, Old Glenarm Road and Croft Road. Signage will be in place along the diversion route.

NI Water would like to thank the public in advance for their patience and cooperation, and assure them that we will do everything we can to complete the work as quickly as possible.

We would like to take this opportunity to remind the public that construction sites are a dangerous area for children and young people, and we would appreciate the co-operation of the community in ensuring that children do not play in or around the works or machinery.

Customer queries regarding this work should be directed to Waterline on 08457 440088.
