Search begins for Northern Ireland Water Board Members

06 March 2015 16:49

The search has begun for five Non-Executive Members for the Board of NI Water.

Applications are welcome from all sections of the community.

A spokesperson for DRD said: “No specific academic qualifications are required for the post. The appointment will be made by the Minister for Regional Development. The aim is to appoint Members with a range of skills to sit on the Board. The Minister is keen to improve the diversity of the boards to which he makes appointments. He wants them to be more representative of the society they serve. He wants more women, younger people, people with disabilities and ethnic minorities to apply for public appointments.

“If you are a good team player with experience of dealing with strategic issues and have good communication skills why not take a look at the application pack. The competition is an open one, which involves an application form and an interview process.”

The Department is operating the Guaranteed Interview Scheme in this competition for applicants with a disability.
