Holywood Sewerage Scheme – Preparation for Tunnelling Work: A2 Carriageway

NI Water in agreement with Transport NI intends to carry out some preparation work in advance of the tunnel crossing of the A2 opposite Strathearn Court. This work will be carried out over the weekend of 30th of October – 2nd of November 2015.

The work will involve the excavation of a trial hole to locate the position of existing services located within the hard shoulder. It will be necessary to have a lane closure in place on the Bangor bound side of the A2 carriageway at Holywood.

The lane closure will be in place from 19.00 on Friday 30th October to 16.00 on Monday  2nd  November, the work will be carried out 24/7 during this time.
