Station Rd / Annaghmore Rd Castledawson – Storm Sewer Extension

02 November 2015 16:28

NI Water together with our appointed contractor AG Wilson has commenced work on a new storm sewer extension on the Station Road / Annaghmore Road in Castledawson. It is anticipated that this work will last approximately 12 weeks.

The work will involve the laying of approximately 400 metres of new sewer pipe, as well as the installation of 11 manholes. The work is being carried out to provide first time sewerage facilities and allow for current and future development in the local area.

Detailed traffic management plans have been agreed with Transport NI to try and minimise the impact of these works. Due to the nature of the work, it will be necessary to close the Station Road / Annaghmore Road, which will be closed in small (100m) sections in order to reduce disruption. Diversion routes will be clearly signposted.

Vehicular access to residential and commercial properties will be restricted between the hours of 8.30am – 4.30pm but pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Parking will be prohibited within the working area for the duration of the works.

The work will affect Annaghmore Mews, Meadow Field Place, Shilgrove Place and the local surgery and we will endeavour to maintain access as much as possible..

NI Water appreciates that work of this nature can be disruptive and, alongside our appointed contractor A G Wilson, we will work closely with Transport NI and other key stakeholders to minimise inconvenience and disruption to local residents, businesses and road users, as far as practicably possible.

NI Water would like to thank the public for their patience and co-operation while this essential work is completed. Customer queries should be directed to Waterline on 03457 440088.
