Silent Valley Music in the Park Event 21 August

10 August 2016 16:28

 | NI Water News
All folk and general music aficionados are invited to NI Water’s ‘Music in the Park’ event on Sunday 21 August from 2-5pm, at Silent Valley Mountain Park, Kilkeel.

The event, organised by NI Water to attract visitors to the picturesque Mourne site, will host the fabulous Darragh Folk band, to delight us with a wide range of Irish folk music.

NI Water’s Christine McAllister, organiser of the event, comments:

“This is the fifth year we have held a ‘Music in the Park’ event due to its resounding success in previous years.

“The event will be very much about relaxation; there is no better way to enjoy a lazy Sunday afternoon than sitting back and appreciating the scenery while being serenaded.

“Many spectators at previous events have simply relaxed with their family, picnicked and enjoyed the sweet sounds of the music.

‘‘This year, we also have the creative talents of the Babcock and Bobbins circus act, a fantastic magic show and face painters to bring your children’s imagination to life.

“We look forward to welcoming back many familiar faces and hopefully some first time visitors to Silent Valley.”
