Publication of Guidance on Drinking Water and Health

The guidance document has been produced and edited by the Drinking Water Liaison Group (DWLG), which is made up of representatives from Northern Ireland Water, Public Health Agency, Northern Ireland Public Health Laboratory, Chief Environmental Health Officers’ Group, Drinking Water Inspectorate and the Department of Health, Social Services and Public Safety. This document on 'drinking water and health' sets out the roles and responsibilities of professionals and organisations in Northern Ireland with a role in drinking water safety. It also provides protocols and guidance on handling a range of scenarios.

The intention is that this guidance will be a ‘living document’ that will be regularly reviewed and updated. Please submit comments / amendments for consideration to Drinking Water Inspectorate (DWI) (email dwi[AT]daera-ni[DOT]gov[DOT]uk ).
